TEENMAAR
Pawan Kalyan, Trisha starrer Teen Maar opened to packed crowds on April 14. Directed by Jayant C Paranjee, the film is a remake of Love Aaj Kal. Trivikram Srinivas wrote the dialogues and Ganesh Babu produced the film on Parameshwara Arts banner. Mani Sharma had composed the music. The film narrates a story of Micheal Velayudham, who’s confused about love and how his life changes after he hears the story of Arjun Palwai who fought for his love 30 years ago in Varanasi.
No.1 position at the box office..
Pawan Kalyan marks his return to romantic entertainers after a brief gap in his career. His acting in the last 30 minutes of the film is one of the highlights of the film. He does well as Arjun Palwai, an angry young man. Trisha and Kriti play their roles with ease. Trivikram Srinivas’ dialogues work in favour of the film. Jayant C Paranjee’s direction and Mani Sharma’s music are good. The difference between Micheal Velyudham and Arjun Palwai’s characterizations is well depicted. Teen Maar is a worthy remake of Love Aaj Kal, although it has its own share of flaws.
In several scenes, dubbing was bad. The dialogues in several scenes shot in South Africa were inaudible and Pawan Kalyan’s diction and muffled tone makes it all the more difficult to understand the dialogues. The first 30 minutes of the film was quite a drag, although the film gets better as it progresses. Too many English dialogues especially in Pawan Kalyan-Donna’s love track didn’t strike a chord with people especially in smaller towns and villages.

Mr Perfect Prabhas, Kajal and Taapsee starrer Mr.Perfect seems to have hit the bulls-eye at box office. The film got off to a flying start at box office. The romantic and family entertainer was directed by Dasarath and Dil Raju produced the film. Prabhas underwent a complete makeover for the film and underplayed his role. Mr.Perfect narrates a story of a youth whose ideals are in direct conflict with those from the previous generation.
No.2 position at the box office..
Great onscreen chemistry between Prabhas and Kajal is one of the highlights of the film. Taapsee makes quite an impression. The film also has a good story and characters are well etched. Vijay Chakravarthi's cinematography, Devi Sri Prasad's music and Abburi Ravi's dialogues stand out in the film. It's a clean family entertainer without any vulgarity.
The screenplay could have been much better and same's the case with the narration. If the film was a little more pacy in second half and less preachy, Mr.Perfect would have been much better film.

Shakti Jr.NTR, Ileana’s latest film Shakti had released with sky high expectations. Directed by Meher Ramesh, the film was produced by Aswini Dutt. With a price tag of more than Rs 40 crores, the film generated quite a lot of buzz due to its theme which was about Shakti Peethams and the star cast. Shakti is an ambitious film about an NSG commando who must safeguard the Home Minister’s daughter as she manages to escape from her house. She possesses a diamond capable of wielding great power. Meanwhile, plenty of people are on the lookout for the girl and the diamond and Shakti holds the key to put an age old battle to an end. The film garnered huge openings despite the World Cup fever thanks to Jr.NTR’s presence.
No.3 position at the box office..
Jr.NTR does not fit for the role which has three shades. He dances like a dream and is a delight to watch in the action sequences. Ileana looks ravishing and the duo’s chemistry sets the screen on fire in almost all the songs. Sameer Reddy’s cinematography and the production design are good.
For a film which is so ambitious in its scale, the blatant disregard for logic is alarming. Who would have thought of Pharaohs and other enemies attacking India in 1984! The much hyped Rudra’s character doesn’t make an overwhelming impact. The script is loosely written and poor characterization & silly dialogues for almost all the villains make it a disappointing watch. The film should have been lot better.
