Having enacted experimental roles consecutively, versatile Vikram is understood to have been eager for a commercial hit now on. The actor claimed a blockbuster last with Shankar’s Aparichitudu (Anniyan in Tamil released in 2005) and Lingusamy’s Bheema (2008). He however, got himself restrained more to unconventional films like Mallanna (Kanthaswamy in Tamil) and Villain (Raavanan), which of course didn’t go down well with the audiences and the trade pundits. His latest Naanna (Deiva Thirumagal) is again an off-beat movie, which seems to be made for bagging an award.
Nevertheless, Vikram now is working for Suseenthiran’s Rajapattai, which is an action flick starring Deeksha Seth and Mitrha Kurian in the lead roles. This is followed by Karikalan being helmed by LI Kannan and has Zarine Khan as heroine. The film is believed to be period-cum-contemporary drama blended with the necessary masala factors. Also, he is said to have signed two more projects that promise commercial viability. Well, money too matters at the end of the day!
